Positive Affirmations are a powerful healing tool

You can use positive affirmations to change your thoughts, moods and habits to create positive actions, emotions and experiences in your life. An affirmation is a short positive phrase or statement that you repeat to yourself to challenge negative and unhealthy thoughts and patterns.

When you consciously choose to use an affirmation, you are deciding to either eliminate something from your life or to create something in your life. The process of repeating the affirmation with belief and emotion builds neural pathways retraining the subconscious mind, with the new affirmation bypassing the resistance of the conscious mind.

  • Do not use negatives in the affirmation – I am wealthy (not- I am not poor)
  • Affirmations need to be specific and direct – Keep it simple
  • Affirmations have to be meaningful – You must believe what you say
  • Add emotion for greater impact – Feel the affirmation
  • Add visualization to support your affirmation – See the outcome
  • Ground your affirmations – Take positive action towards your affirmation
  • Develop a routine, reprogramming your brain needs consistency – Set reminders
